ROBERT T.H. LEE has over fifty years of experience in the financial industry and over thirty-five years of experience in securities and investment banking. Currently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holdings Corp., a publicly listed company on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Lee is also a Senior Business Consultant of Henny Wee & Co, Certified Public Accountants, Hong Kong, in corporate governance, mergers, and acquisitions. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London, a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, and a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
PETER A. TRYDE joined Merrill Lynch, Hong Kong, in 1981 and has spent over twenty years in the investment industry, becoming a securities and futures senior dealing director. In recent years, he has been engaged in the raising of capital for various "green" projects, as well as trading the markets based on the advanced neural network projection features of Timing Solution software program. This book is a very good reference source covering most aspects of technical analysis; it covers most of the traditional topics for technical analysis - Patterns, Elliott Waves, Volume, Indicators, Systems and even Astrology.
The authors are not trying selling any "holy grail" or "secret method". It, does on the other hand, provide a solid explanation of the different topics by means of examples and charts. The author also developed a Queuing Theory of Moving Average Crossovers (QMAC), which is a very good tool use in trend trading. It is a multi-time-frame system which is similar to GMMA, whereas QMAC is easier to use and interpret.
Some Meta-stock formulas are included and readers can test and modify their trading ideas. Most trading ideas are for position traders. (this book is not for day traders).
Overall the book should be rated 5 stars. However, I found the font size a bit small and the line spacing a bit tight, so I think I will award it 4 stars. I hope the writers will deliver another 5 star book in the near future.
