This was a gift my son received for his 6th birthday in Oct. Mind you, he didn't even have the game because I didn't think he was ready for it. Boy, was I wrong. I purchased this copy for my nephew. I scored high points in the "fav aunt" scale. Skylander aficionados , this is a must have book. Great read for car rides, play dates, field trips, etc. We are looking forward to the Skylanders Swap Force Guide which will be released 6/26/14.

She received a BA in Mass Communication from University Wisconsin-Parkside. She received clergy training from Bible Institute of St. Paul Baptist Church. Minister Della Buckley is the Founder/CEO of the Daughters of Zion Ministry.

Not worth buying free

There seems to be problems with transcribing some parts of books such as this. Throughout, the major turning points of the stories, which are quotes from either letters or newspaper articles, are completely missing. I am guessing that the missing sections appear in italics or some variant form.
This not the only book in which I have seen this -- makes the entire thing useless. The whole development of the story involves newspaper ads -- all of which are missing.

Stewart, stolen from his family vault in 1878.

About the Author

Pierce J. Howard, Ph.D., is director of research and development for the Center for Applied Cognitive Studies in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since the first edition of The Owner's Manual for the Brain was published in 1994, Dr. Howard has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and conducted countless seminars around the world. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the International Test Commission.

Great summary on the research, for scholar and casual reader alike!

This book is great for the casual reader who perks up when they hear about new research on stress, or sleep or happiness. But it is also a practical compendium of modern cognitive research for the new psychology student or the experienced practitioner. Edited by Pierce J. Howard, Ph.D., this is the 4th edition, and the 4th one I have purchased, because of its breadth and the concise way Dr. Howard sumarizes the research and why it matters. Pick out topics of interest or read it front to back, you will walk away with information to enhance your understanding and your life.
